We have been taking our ten year-old Golden Retriever to Aqua Dogs at Feniton for approximately one year.
This treatment was suggested by our veterinary surgeon at the Mount Veterinary Hospital, Wellington, Somerset to help with the arthritis in her right stifle, which had been confirmed on X ray.
She had been treated with Previcox for some time, but with only limited success.
After Bella had her initial course of swimming sessions we saw a really dramatic improvement in her mobility. She no longer limped after exercise or, on getting to her feet after lying down.
We have continued her hydrotherapy sessions ever since, on a 'fortnightly' basis, and are very glad to say that as well as re-gaining her mobility, we have been able to reduce her Previcox to half a tablet once daily.
I am certain this improvement is due to the gentle exercise during her 'swimming' sessions which have strengthened her muscles and greatly improved her quality of life.
Jo at Aqua Dogs is excellent with all types and sizes of dog, and our dog thoroughly enjoys her sessions there.
